His private practice is located in Alexandria, Virginia. His clients include senior officials in the U.S. government and the Justice Department, ambassadors, medical doctors, high-level executives of prominent corporations, scientists, engineers, professors, and other clients from all walks of life.
Dr. Berg is the author of the best selling books ‘The 7 Principles of Fat Burning’ and ‘The Healthy Keto Plan’ in which he describes specific strategies on doing the healthy version of the ketogenic diet as well as intermittent fasting. He has conducted over 4800 seminars on health-related topics and trained over 2500 doctors world-wide in his methods.
Dr. Berg has been an active member of the Endocrinology Society, on the advisory panel for the Health Science Institute, and has worked as a past part-time adjunct professor at Howard University. He has appeared on many radio and television shows, including ABC, CBS, and as a monthly host on Channel 8’s Sports Talk. He has also had his own radio health show on WOL in 2005.

I really appreciate Dr. Berg putting all these videos together with so much information that my regular MD has no clue about. I don't necessarily blame my MD for not knowing…it's not how they're trained. Dr. Berg mentioned Ideal Protein in this video. Well, I did it 5 years ago for 8 months. THOUSANDS of dollars spent. I did lose 30 pounds, but once I started eating actual food again, I gained back almost 50 pounds. Had a fatty liver, kidney stones and gallstones. I would never recommend it.

He is so right on the high protein soy powders (EAS?). I lost a lot of weight on them after drinking them for many months but it messed my mense up, the blood would just pour all out rapidly. I took vitamin k and that fixed it. After a year or two I tried a different brand of soy powder protein shakes (V something) and same thing happened.

Thank you Dr Berg! I've been following ketogenic diet since covid-19 flu lock down. I've lost 65lbs and 7 inches off my waist. I broke 200lbs, last week, for the first time in 6 years. This video cleared up many of the issues I've had over the last 6 months, like muscle weakness, and some fatigue. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Hi, I am a Chiropractor and Clinical Nutritionist who has practiced for over 30 years. I love to watch and evaluate videos on nutrition. Many are full of major physiological inaccuracies and crazy popular culture myths. Unfortunately, most tend to push products that are at best sub-par. That being said, I have to say that Dr. Berg did a wonderful job in this video. I enjoyed it thoroughly and was even reminded of some basic truths. Great job Doc!

So, if I can control blood pressure, cholesterol and blood glucose levels through diet why didnโt my doctor tell me to do that instead of giving me pills?

Keto carnivore all are just FAD diets.. no cure for peripheral neuropathy.. Dreaded diets, make u more weak.. These docs have been allowed to make online videos only to sell u more supplements like trace minerals and wheat grass juices.. plz don't follow them, "bullsh*t" advices for free only to make u weaker or look like a "sucked out Dracula"..

Always been suspicious of this guy's grasp of the scientific method and his grasp of logic. The fact that he doesn't know the difference between microvolts and millivolts when acting like he know so much about it does not help his case. mV = millivolts. That's 3 orders of magnitude larger than microvolts, Dr. Berg.

Thank you for sharing your knowledge. The problem I often have with videos posted by doctors Is that they seem to have good information – but they donโt explain thoroughly enough some of the details. I was pleasantly surprised to watch your videos and not have unanswered questions. You are easy to listen to and the manner in which you convey the information generates a positive reaction.

I've watched several of Dr. Berg's videos, but haven't tried keto yet. How can you eat so many vegetables and keep carbs under 50 grams? I really want to try this, any practical advice is appreciated.

Disappointed that you didn't mention that 45 eggs are not bad for the heart everyday.. this myth that eggs are bad for the heart and cause heart attacks it's just a lie. Everybody needs to look up the research on this read about Vince gironda..he lived to be 96 years old having 36 eggs a day he describe them as natural steroids
