KETO TORTILLA MACROS (PER TORTILLA) RECIPE MAKES 5:

165 Calories

13g Fat
5g Carbs
3.5g Fiber
1.5g NET CARBS
6g Protein

1.5g NET CARBS

Xanthan Gum can be replaced on a 1:1 basis with Guar Gum.

You could also use Psyllium Husk, but you will need atleast 3x as much of it.

If you have a tree nut allergy use sunflower seed flour instead of almond flour….link to some is posted above.

There is no better comfort food than a creamy and decadent cheese sauce with rich bits of salty cheese. It’s true, alfredo sauce just cannot be topped…but it certainly can be improved upon, simplified, and healthied up. It just takes a few minor adjustments and some quick cooking tips to make this one-pot shrimp Alfredo!

Ingredients:
1 tablespoon butter, salted
1 pound shrimp, raw*
4 ounces cream cheese, cubed
½ cup whole milk
1 tablespoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon dried basil
1 teaspoon salt
½ cup Parmesan cheese, shredded
5 whole sun-dried tomatoes, cut into strips
¼ cup baby kale

Nutrition Summary:
This makes a total of 4 servings of One Pot Shrimp Alfredo. Each serving comes out to be 297.83 Calories, 17.55g Fats, 6.51g Net Carbs, and 22.93g Protein.

6-8oz Lean Chicken Breast 4g Fat
4 Tbsp Avocado/Guac 5g carbs 10g Fat
Pico/Salsa to taste
2 Tbsp Non-fat greek yogurt (works great as a non-dairy sour cream)
Sauteed Onions in coconut oil/Fajita Veggies (pick out the bell pepper high fructose) 3g carbs, 6g fat from oil

9-12g Carbs, 20 Fat, 500 calories

Make an ACV Drink – Lemon Juice, ACV, Water, Monkfruit

This Delicious Keto Beef Chow Mein really impressed me how delicious and tender it came out. I love Chow Mein so much but definitely do not love the fact that it is not low carb. I am always looking for ways to modify my favorite foods into healthier diet friendly versions of themselves as you guys all know. I went to look in my fridge and there it was, zucchini noodles and unfrozen piece of fresh grass fed beef. A match made in heaven for my recipe. Although I am intermittent fasting currently I still try to have ketones as my primary fuel source most of the time and try to keep most of my meals very low carb.

Brain Health: Omega 3’s are made up of two primary components: EPA and DHA – they support cellular membranes and keep them flexible – maintaining the fluidity of the cell membranes allows for proper communication between nerve cells and, therefore, helps to support focus and mental clarity

DHA and EPA play vital roles in neuronal structure and function, protecting them from oxidative damage, inflammation, and the cumulative destruction inflicted by other chronic insults

CoQ10

As part of the mitochondrial electron transport chain, coenzyme Q accepts electrons from reducing equivalents generated during fatty acid and glucose metabolism and then transfers them to electron acceptors.

qAt the same time, coenzyme Q transfers protons outside the inner mitochondrial membrane, creating a proton gradient across that membrane. The energy released when the protons flow back into the mitochondrial interior is used to form ATP

These Low-Carb Keto bread buns (or rolls) are very easy to make and can be a great meal replacement or snack. We like to top ours with butter or cream cheese, sea salt, bacon and cheese. They’re also great as burger buns. We believe these taste much better than the usual Keto bread, which is often made with only almond flour and eggs.

Once again we included the nutritional value within the recipe video!

Ingredients:
75g almond flour
20g pysllium husk powder
30g coconut flour
38g ground flaxseed
3 egg whites
1 whole egg
240ml boiling water

We originally found this recipe a little more than a year ago on the (paid) KetoDiet app for Android and only slightly altered it. We just leave out the garlic & onion powder as well as the sesame seeds to make it a little simpler. Martina (KetoDietApp) deserves the credit 🙂

The Benefits Of A Paleo-ketogenic Lifestyle

In this piece, Dr. Sarah Myhill, one of the world’s leading physicians in the fight against both Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and Myalgic Encephalomyelitis, is asked why we should eat a paleo-ketogenic diet. Her answer lays out the basis for her nutritional approach to both maintaining health and curing disease.

The harms of sugar and simple carbohydrates are plainly evident in our increasingly obese populations, in which chronic illness and dementias, cancers and heart and arterial disease are rife.

So what does the paleo-ketogenic diet offer us? Dr. Myhill explains that the PK diet gives us a way to eat a healthy, delicious, and well-rounded diet that is not dependent on sugars and carbohydrates for its calories. Human cells can derive energy from sugars or fats and fibres, and when we switch over into relying on the latter, we are eating in the way we have evolved to over a long period of our time on earth.

She points out that as more and more diseases are found to have an infectious driver or substrate when we eat PK, we are also starving the bacteria, yeasts, viruses, and protozoa that use sugars and carbohydrates as their fuel. They cannot thrive on fats and fibres, but we can. This represents one of our best means to avoid or treat infectious disease.

So if you want to live more vibrantly, stay at a healthy weight and sidestep many of the modern diseases of affluence, eat paleo-ketogenic. Dr. Myhill and her co-author, Craig Robinson, have written a book that’s for anyone who wants to do this.
